So I built something that would.

Hi! I'm Shakita, mom, creator, and the founder of The Monthlies.

I created this brand because I remember what it felt like to figure out puberty alone. The awkward conversations that never happened. The embarrassment that didn't need to exist. The feeling that something was wrong with me because nobody told me what was normal.

I didn't want that for my daughter. And I didn't want it for yours.

So I built a town called LavenHaven. I wrote stories where girls talk openly about the things the world tells them to whisper about. And I put real, practical tools in their hands so they'd never be caught off guard.

The Monthlies isn't just a brand. It's the friend group every girl deserves, the conversation every parent wants to have but doesn't know how to start, and the reminder that puberty is not something to survive, it's something to grow through.

Build her confidence and identity before her body starts changing. Through characters who look like her, she learns she's enough exactly as she is.

Help her learn what's happening through stories she actually connects with. No clinical textbooks. No awkward lectures. Just girls going through it together.

Equip

Put the right tools in her hands before she needs them. Period supplies, an Emergency Kit, and the confidence to handle whatever comes next.
